Taking Back Control of Your Life

We provide opioid treatment and counseling services to help patients stabilize and improve their lives. Our methadone clinic provides individualized, medication-assisted treatment to all persons presenting substance abuse problems in an environment that is safe, clean, and non-threatening. When prescribed and monitored by a medical doctor, methadone is a legal medication. As prescribed by the Medical Director, each patient admitted to treatment receives an individualized dosage of methadone daily, prepared and dispensed by a registered nurse.

Admission and Federal Guidelines

As per federal regulations, all methadone maintenance applicants must provide documentation of at least one year of opiate addiction. We also consider prior treatment history, legal circumstances, mental health, and indicated drug(s) use when assessing eligibility for methadone maintenance. Applicants for the thirty-day detoxification treatment must demonstrate current opiate addiction. Persons determined to be inappropriate for treatment will be advised of the reason(s) and referred to alternative treatment sites.

Possible Negative Side Effects

If prolonged side effects occur, our medical staff is on-site daily to evaluate and advise patients. Methadone can also affect the effectiveness of medications you may currently be taking for other medical conditions; therefore, it is important to keep all of your doctors/dentists informed about medications you are taking. The combination of methadone and benzodiazepines (Xanax™, Klonopin™, Valium™, etc.) is particularly dangerous, as the body's respiratory system can become depressed. Brain damage, breathing problems, and death can result from combining these medications.

Payment Information

All payments are due via cash or money order.

Our methadone maintenance program requires an initial fee and is due at the time of the screening. This fee covers the cost of your medication, urinalysis, counseling, and medical evaluations. After that, you are responsible for making weekly payments.

Medicated Assisted Treatments

As patients progress through their treatment, they may attend less frequent counseling sessions and earn take-home doses of opiate replacement medication. Patients may be discharged after achieving abstinence and medically supervised detoxification from Methadone or Suboxone. Successful completion of the regiment includes specific criteria for admission in a clinical setting.

Guest Medication Programs

Patients from other methadone clinics are also welcome to our Guest Medication service. Persons receiving methadone treatment under the supervision of another clinic may arrange for guest medication at our facility for up to fourteen (14) days at a time. Guest medication starts with an initial fee of just $35 initial fee and $15 in cash per day thereafter.

Medication visits cannot be arranged by patients; all guest medication arrangements must be coordinated by staff from a patient's home clinic through contact with our Treatment Team.

HIV Prevention through Substance Abuse Treatment

We recognize the dramatic relationship between substance use and HIV transmission. We teach patients about the hazards of high-risk behavior, risk reduction, and emphasize the importance of practicing safe behaviors such as HIV prevention methods and AIDS testing.
